Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
During a Harry Potter movie marathon on satellite tv I found myself watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is one of my favorite Harry Potter movies and I think I can sadly quote almost the whole thing. Even my four year old nephew likes this movie, and he really likes Dobby the house elf. So this movie is the second in the Harry Potter series.
Harry is at home eagerly awaiting his return to Hogwarts when he gets an unexpected invitation from Dobby the house elf. Dobby warns him not to go back to Hogwarts this year because there is a plan to make bad things happen. Harry decides he can’t listen Dobby’s warnings and goes back to school because it’s home and he actually has friends there. When he gets to school everything is back to normal, but soon after arriving back strange things start happening. Harry starts hearing voices and after that, Mr. Filch’s cat gets petrified. There is a warning that the Chamber of Secrets has been open.
Students start getting petrified and the teachers are afraid they need to close the school. Harry finds a diary one day that has been thrown into a girls bathroom that they used to brew polyjuice potion and when he goes to write in it, it communicates back. Tom Riddle shows Harry how he set up Hagrid to look like the kid who opened up the chamber before and they expelled Hagrid.
In the end it turns out that it was Lord Voldemort that was really opening the chamber by using the body of Ginny Weasley. Harry battles the demons inside the chamber and rescues Ginny before anything else happens to her. He destroys the diary and in turn destroyed the bit of soul that was left in the diary. They all lived happily ever after.
