Positivity in Life

Incredibly happy people’s habit (inspired by Travis Bradberry’s article)

According to Travis Bradberry (writer of forbes.com), these 10 lists of things are the habits of ‘incredibly happy people. He wrote this post – http://www3.forbes.com/leadership/10-habits-of-incredibly-happy-people/2/, and I can say that yes some are true coz I’ve done it in my life.

Here are the lists:
They slow down to appreciate life’s little pleasures
They exercise
They spend money on other people
They surround themselves with the right people
They stay positive
They get enough sleep
They have deep conversations
They help others
They make an effort to be happy.
They have a growth mindset.

As for me, it’s nice to be slow sometimes and just appreciate life. Besides, life always starts with step one, right?

Oh exercise, I do love to exercise even just on my stepper as I don’t have the budget for joining any gym. It’s like exercising at home coz I find it cheaper and more savings.

I’d love to spend time with my family and my kids. I am an Asian and I have a close family bonding that even if parents and children are old, there’s still be bonding. So, I love to bond with my families and sometimes with good friends. Pssst, I hate to bond with negative people. They drained my spirit and my energy out. Really!

In staying positive, I am doing that ever since 2010. I love to read good books from Andrew Matthews, Leo Buscaglia, Bible, and more. Last 2010 I learned about Louise L. Hay, the Secret the Movie, and other good sources for self-help thingy and from there I started to be positive in life. When times that I will be negative, well, I will have to rant positive things and with prayers as well. This helps me continue living life right now. No matter what I’ve been through in life, I will still be ranting and praying positive things even if the things in front of me is negative. I am grateful for the answers to my prayers even if I cannot see it yet. I do believe that God answers prayers and even more. I am excited to receive the blessings that He has for my families and for me.

Oh, that get enough sleep, I sometimes sleep early. But really last night, I sleep earlier than 2am or 3am and so I am feeling better today. I was just exhausted, and I cannot open my eyes facing my computer. I cannot type at all, and so I slept earlier than my usual sleeping time.

Deep conversation huh – well, I do have a deep conversation with God in my prayers. He knows my mind and my heart. Sometimes, I have a deep conversation with my pen and papers, but mostly, I’ll just have to shred it. I feel relieved whenever I can write the things that bother me. You know, it’s one of my stress relievers – WRITING. I love talking to God as well. Even if I cannot hear Him replied to me like person to person conversation, but I can see his positive replies in my life. Whenever I am praying, I feel better, and I feel more positive in life.

That helping others – I always do. I love giving gifts. I believe that I am a steward of God’s wealth here on earth and so I am sharing it. I also believe that the more I help, the more blessings I will receive in life. God is the unfailing source, and so I am INDEPENDENT OF HIM so that I can share and help other people more.

That making EFFORT TO BE HAPPY, hmmm that is the right thing to do in life. I can remember I have a distant relative, I call her Lola (Grandmother), and she’s blind, but she’s the happiest person I’ve known. There’s no dull moment whenever I am talking to her. She can laugh her heart out loud with just any conversations. She’s trying to make herself happy and the people around her. Happiness is a choice, and so hmmm I need to be happy as well. Life is good, and life is abundant because God is life. So, happiness should be a choice every day by guarding the things that you put in your mind because those things that you constantly think about, you will imprint it in your heart. And so it’s good to just be happy by thinking positive things coz it the heart will be more positive and will be happier.

Oh, that growth mindset – surely positive people always think of growth and pretty sure they filtered their minds with not over think of the things in the past. Instead of focusing on the past, they focus on the present, and they’re happier with their families. Whenever they have families, they usually bring their families out sometimes to be happy with nature or whatever beautiful places that they can think. Mostly, they are not happy with just playing computer games, watching TV or whatever indoor activities. They are the happiest when they can orient their families with whatever positive activities that they can introduce. They are not anti-social as well. They love people because they know that no man can live alone. Everyone needs someone, and everyone needs friendship – whether it be a church, close friends or from any other communities. They love to volunteer in helping others like in charities, feeding needy people and the like.
