How many more concerns I will encounter with the blogs that I hosted? For today, I have two concerns. I fixed the other coz it was simple. It’s just about visiting the cPanel’s MYSQL DBASE, change something in there and that’s it. My friend’s site is now okay and she’s able to access her site. The other one, I still don’t have a feedback yet. I hope he is able to get through his sites without any problem or else I’ll have to check on his cPanel and do the things that need to be done.
As what I’ve said, I fixed two sites last night and it’s good that I hosted those. I finished it dawn and by the time I messaged my friend, she was sleeping already. She replied to me this morning and I think she’s happy with it. It was a tough fixed for me since I revived her blogs for more than 3 hours and of course with God’s guidance.
This morning, I fixed another two sites – my friend who’s living from Aussie. I’m glad I fixed it in less than an hour. The two blogs had the same errors and that is
general-template.php:2624 error and it has the wordpress white screen of death. It was just easy coz the error was the wp ban plugin. When I deleted it, the two sites were up again. But I cannot login on the 2nd blog so I’ve decided to search for the database of it. Searching for it was not the easy part as she hosted quite lots of blogs (her blogs and her friends’ blogs). Her sites were hosted in BH and since BH has marketplace auto installer, thus the cause of weird databases (I liked Blue Host’s Simple Script auto installer before). I searched it from top but I surrendered so I searched it from the bottom of the database lists. After several minutes of searching for it, I finally got the right one and change her pw into the pw that she gave me.
Right now, her blogs are okay. On the other hand, I am not an expert wp blog fixer. I know how to fix small word press blog problems based on the things that I experienced and based on the things that I’ve fixed previously.

Since 2008, I’ve encountered different word press blog errors on my blogs and the blogs that I’ve hosted. And this year, I’ve fixed few of my sites and my friends’ sites as well. One thing that I’ve noticed is that when the blog has errors, I thought it’s just because of some plugins but it’s not. There are many reasons why it has errors. The strangest things that I’ve encountered this year are the codes being erased or replaced and thus the cause of errors. There’s a time that the blogs didn’t have folders.
And tonight, it has wp-blog-header.php on line 14 error. I tried to fix it but the blog has nothing in it, as in it’s totally white or they call it the white screen of death. I can’t see the login and all. I tried to erase all the plugins and the themes by logging into the cPanel but it’s still not working. When I checked one of the the php folders, there was something missing in it. The folder was there but it’s empty and it’s one of the reasons why the blog won’t load.
So, what I did was to put things in that folder and change the database password hoping it would be fixed. But it’s still not working. I then uploaded a new version of word press into the folder of that particular blog and extracted it to replace the old files. After that, I changed the password of the blog so that I can access it since I don’t know the pw of my friend. I then open her blog url with the wp-login.php hoping I can access the login and change her blog theme so as to make her blog live since I deleted her current theme. And it worked.
Thanks God I fixed her two sites. I just couldn’t uninstall and reinstall her site since she doesn’t have XML files saved. It doesn’t matter though as her two blogs are fine now even if it took me more than three hours of fixing it. I am thankful to God that I am being guided with everything that I need to do.
