For your car to work properly, you need to carry out preventative maintenance. Though the maintenance schedules differ, all cars need proper maintenance. This will make your car have a long life. Regular maintenance according to the owner’s manual is not always easy because of the costs it involves, and also because of our many commitments and obligations in life. However, it is possible to maintain your car to a satisfactory level, and here is the list of things you can do to achieve that.
1. Don’t ignore the Check Engine Light
This is easy to overlook because sometimes when it comes on, the car seems to operate as normal. You may then promise yourself to have it checked later. But as you push it further, the car ends up breaking down. When this dashboard light comes on, get your car checked by a mechanic as soon as possible. The longer you take on checking this problem, the higher the costs you will incur to get your car repaired. But the time you spend having the car checked will save you lots of money on repair.
2. Check the tire pressure
Failure to check the pressure of your car tires is a common mistake most people make. This is often because the tires look properly inflated. But looks can be deceiving; the tires could be low on pressure. It may not blow the tires, but it will contribute to poor fuel economy, which translates to higher fuel costs. It is easy to lose pressure in the tires just by going over a pothole. The weather also has an effect on the tire pressure. The tires lose up to 2 lbs of pressure for every 10-degree temperature drop outside. Thus, check your tire pressure regularly because you don’t want a flat tire or poor gas consumption.
3. Don’t ignore the TMPS light
You need to check the tire pressure when the tire Pressure Monitoring System light comes on. This light comes on as a warning when the tire deflates beyond what is considered safe by the manufacturer. So, if this light comes on while you are driving, pull over at a safe place, preferably at a gas station, and verify the tire pressure. And if necessary, add some air to the tires. Sometimes the TMPS sensor may need replacement. If it indicates low pressure when the pressure is sufficient, you need to replace the sensors. Balanced tire pressure will enable an even wear on the tires, and this will give your car long life and good fuel efficiency.
4. Don’t skip an oil change
The engine and motor oil technology has advanced over the past few years. Depending on the manufacturer, you may not be required to change the oil every 3,000 miles. Most of the today’s cars have an average engine oil life of about 7,800 miles. The good news is this equates to less time and money spent on changing the oil. But this does not mean you avoid changing the oil. Every engine needs oil to function properly. Without it, the engine will die. The oil should not be too old. If it is left for too long, the engine will develop nasty sludge and deposits. And instead of lubricating, the oil will destroy the motor. So, change the engine oil regularly.
If you own a BMW Isetta, you need give it proper care by regularly checking the tire pressure and changing the engine oil. And don’t ignore the warning lights such as the Check Engine light and the TPMS light.
“A strong friendship doesn’t need daily conversation; doesn’t always need togetherness. As long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part.”
And this is true! Even if I am not talking to you or someone that I’ve known with, you are still my ever dearest friends. The secrets that I’ve known will be with me for life. And you can assure that I wouldn’t share it with anybody else.
You will be one of my friends for life!
Now, this review of USAA is up. It took me a while before writing this as I was too busy at work. I am not compensated on this. I just want to give them some good credits of how good they are in taking care of their clients.
This is my story:
I had a car accident last July 11, 2015 as what I’ve wrote here in my blog article. I filed a claim with USAA Tuesday July 14, 2015 at around 11:51am or so and it took me around 42 minutes and few seconds to speak with Mr. Austin B as he had a recorded conversation with me.
By July 16, 2015, Ms. Teresa called me up and she said to me that there will be a person who will visit me at my place to see my vehicle for estimate. I waited for it and I am grateful that on July 20, 2015 Silvester N. visited me at my place to check my vehicle. I told him that it is different this year than last year as I visited Al Serra Body Shop for the estimate and it took me around 2 months for the repair of my vehicle as I also had a car accident with a USAA insurance holder last year. But this year and I am praying that this will be the last (with God’s protection), this year is quicker. It is just matter of days for me to have some repairs of my car.
Anyway, Mr. Silvester N. estimated my car damages around 4k+ and he said that USAA will send the check to me and so that I can pay it to Al Serra. I thanked him for helping me out. After he gave me a printed copy of the estimate, I immediately called up Al Serra for the repair and the man that I spoke with asked me to visit them by the next day.
So on July 21, 2015 at around 8:19am I arrived in Al Serra Body Shop with my vehicle, left my key and my estimate paper. I spoke with the lady in Al Serra and she said that USAA is one of her favorite insurance companies coz they are big and they are one of the best. I was happy to hear about it but I said to her that I hope this would be my last car accident as I don’t want to have a fear in driving around.
Anyway, going back to USAA, Al Serra, and all, I’ve waited for enterprise rent a car to pick me. And it took me just few minutes in waiting for the free SUV car rental. It’s a Jeep Cherokee. I had it July 21, 2015 until July 29, 2015.
To sum up, I am thankful to God, my Angels, and to all who helped me in fixing my vehicle as quickly as possible. I am so thankful to USAA and its employees for everything. I am also thankful to Al Serra for the good job in fixing my car. And thanks also to Enterprise for the nice SUV and for the free pickup.
I am praying that this would be the last accident that I have had. I am praying for safety every day for myself and for everyone else.
Thank you so much oh God!
I had an accident around 7:33-7:34pm as per the time of the photos that I took using my phone. Good thing that time, I still had battery and my phone was still working.
The accident occur when I did a left turn Austin Bluff Road and Academy. I didn’t know that the 3rd lane was closed and there were huge cones on it. So, I stop right there and then upon seeing those huge cones. Then all of a sudden there were burgundy or red car that bumped the back of my car. I was shocked and I wasn’t able to move. Then the guy got near my window and he asked me if I was okay and that if possible we will park at the nearby parking lot. I wasn’t sure where to park then. But before moving away from the incident, I took few photos of it.
When I was at the parking a lot, the guy asked me why I stopped in the middle of the road when the light was green. So, I told him that there’s cone and I didn’t want to bump on it. He said it’s my fault coz I should not stop in the middle of the road. When he was accusing me, I was done talking to him. Instead, I called up my husband to know what number to dial in reporting the accident. Then I dialed the phone number of the police and report it. I was just waiting for the officer to come coz I didn’t want to talk to people who will accuse me of something. At the time I was in the state of shock. I just refused to cry because it’s done already.
Upon talking to the operator, I asked her if it’s my fault coz the guy said it’s my fault, and she said that as per Colorado traffic law it is the fault of the one at the back. So, with that, I was just waiting for the police for several minutes coz the operator said they’re quite busy since it’s already night time. Good thing the police officer came and I filled up the form. When he said that I can go and I was already set, it was then I drove home. But I was still blank and still like floating on air.
Right now, I am a bit fine. I hope that everything will be settled with my insurance and the insurance of the other party. Hope my car will be repaired as so soon as possible.
What to do when having car accident
1. Presence of mind
2. Take some photos as proof
3. Prepare your driver’s license
4. Prepare your insurance
5. Call the police hotline
6. When police officer comes, you need to fill up the form
7. If other party accused you, it’s better to be silent and just wait for the police
(Note: I just covered some part of my photos to protect both parties.)
All jobs require a certain level of training. The better quality of training a person receives, the more productive employee they will be. Therefore, many companies are learning that if they invest more money in the training process of their employees, it will benefit them down the road. A training video is a great tool to help people learn about the job they will be performing. By watching a video, they can see people performing the various tasks that their job will involve. Training videos are also essential to demonstrate proper safety and security procedures. Here is how to learn more about training videos.
Contact companies that use training videos
The vast majority of major companies require their employees to watch various training videos when they are first hired. Therefore, it should not be a problem for you to get some leads on where to obtain training videos for your business. Some videos can be used by many different companies, such as a DOT certification training video. Other companies hire a video production company to make a custom training video specifically for their company. You will need to figure out which type of training video you require.
Contact training video production companies
If you decide that you want to have a custom training video produced for your company, your first order of business will be to contact companies that specialize in producing these videos. With so many companies having their own training videos produced these days, there are no shortage of production companies to choose from. Take a look at some of the websites of these production companies. They should have examples of videos they have produced for other clients. If these videos are to your liking, schedule an appointment with the company to discuss the things you want your training video to contain. They will then give you a quote of how much the video will cost to produce. You should visit as many of these production companies as you can. Compare their fees, then decide which one you want to go with. You can then start casting actors to appear in your video.
June 17, 2015 my friend and I decided to hike at Manitou Incline Colorado which has over 2k steps. We went there like almost 10am. When we reached we were having a hard time finding a parking lot. We had to turn twice in that area just to wait for a vacant pay parking. When we had our turned, we were one of the happy hikers. We started hiking at around 11:30am and we finished around 3:30pm going the back home.
It was like a torture for us coz we were first timer. There were stairs wherein we have to almost crawl in going up just to reach the top of the trail. First timers in hiking trail like this would be having a hard time and lots of muscle spasms afterwards. But for the regular hikers, it would be easy for them. There was even one man, maybe he was trying to lose weight as he was running back and forth on the trail and it’s just easy for him.
Given the chance, I will hike in this Manitou Incline again but I have to be early like before 6am so that I can find a good parking area and I need to finish early. But I don’t want to go down at the back portion as it was too long in there. If I will have to get down from there, I need to run fast so as to reach the bottom of the mountain quick. With my 2nd hike there, I think I will try to go down on the stairs again. Though it’s a bit steep but I know I can as I am used to walking and hiking the mountains when I was younger. And that would be easy for me.
To sum up, I loved the hike as it is like I am connecting with God’s nature which is away from all of the high technology of the modern world. It was just refreshing! Thanks God it was a successful journey of over 2k miles.
Thanks God, we are able to find a parking space after turning around the 2nd time.
Start of the hike
Hiking up! Keep moving forward! No going up unless you reached the top of Manitou Incline (over 2k steps).
Reaching the top of the incline was so refreshing!

Although many businesses prefer the virtual stage of the Internet, other companies still need concrete visibility within a storefront. Whether you offer retail sales or other services, locating the perfect storefront can be a challenge even in the largest cities. As a business owner, you must consider several factors influencing this location choice to ensure a high return on your leasing investment.
Complement Immediate Business Neighbors
If you sell furniture, you don’t want to locate the business in a computer-repair section of town. A major part of locating the right storefront area is complementing local businesses. Construction supply companies are perfectly located near a heavy machinery rental yard, for example. With this concept in mind, you benefit your business and other companies nearby. Enhancing the local economy is part of good business practices that pay off for everyone in the immediate area.
It’s simple to click here on a website page and gain visibility, but storefronts require much more thought before you move in. Get familiar with the town or city for your business. Understand where all the main streets and traffic reside. You want your business to be located with like-minded companies, but on a busy road for visibility. Even with excellent word-of-mouth and stellar service, your business can topple without a face on a main street.
Hiring Leasing Professionals
Make the building search much easier by hiring leasing professionals. These real estate experts understand the local economy and land divisions. After an interview with you and other management, they can piece together several smart leasing deals that work for your particular industry. Working with real estate professionals takes some of the legwork out of finding that perfect location and streamlines a rapid move-in process.
Don’t visit a location just once during your storefront search. Take a number of looks at various times in the day. Visit during a weekday morning, afternoon and even into the night. Weekend visits are even necessary if you’re open these days. Ideally, you want a building with safety and access as top priorities. Business can flourish from that point on.
