Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Colorado Springs – Part 1

I got my DL last 2011, and from that time I was driving to places even if I always got lost. Until today, I am always lost even if I am using my GPS. You see, I am still a newbie driver. Anyway, even if I was a newbie, I told myself that I will bring my kids out whenever I can coz my eldest was deprived of being with other people or seeing new places because for almost 6 years I wasn’t driving. I was afraid then, and I did not want to go out with my two friends as I was too shy that time.

One of the places that my kids and I visited was Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It’s fun there, but the smell was different. We saw different types of animals, and it was amazing. The things that we didn’t see were the zebras and the elephants because it says that African Rift Valley was under construction that time. Although zebra was viewable as what they wrote on the sign we didn’t visit the place.

And here are few photos of our fun at the zoo.

MacDonalds Filmore Colorado Springs

I took this photos when my kids and I were able to pass by at Filmore Colorado springs. My kids were planning that if this MacDonald will open again this September (hopefully), they will be dining in there. They are also hoping to have a play area in this fast food branch. Hope this will have a play area as kids love to play and it will be a great attraction to this busy MacDonald’s branch.

John Venezia park – Colorado Springs, Colorado

So yesterday, my friend kept on calling me many times. I was too busy so I answered it once I was able to sit down on my working area. She informed me that there’s a newly opened water park in district 20 and it’s call John Venezia Community Park. I packed some clothes for my kiddos, towels and little food. Then we went to her place. I just followed her driving since I didn’t know the place. It’s just few minutes from her house and when we reached the place, it was raining and windy. I didn’t bring any jacket and I wear shorts. Cold wind made us shiver coz we didn’t have the right gear. We thought it will be hot coz u know it’s summer time but it was not. After like an hour of letting the kids play, we decided to go home and my kids were having fun. They said they will be back in that park again. The next time we will visit there, I’ll make sure I will bring jacket and other stuff just in case it will be windy or whatever.

Anyway, it’s a nice park and it’s safe in there since it is located in district 20. When that park will be finished, it will be so much fun and it’s a nice place to have parties, play/watch games and more.

Name: John Venezia Community Park
Location: 3555 Briargate Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80920

eZip 500 Electric Scooter – super beautiful scooter

I want to sell my Ezip E500 Electric Scooter this year but I need to change the battery or the charging cable. I have this scooter since 2010 and this served me best since then. I bought this online at Walmart before. This time, it’s not available at this store. This is still available in other online retailers. I love this scooter. As much as I want to let go of this but I also want to keep it coz this is one of a kind.

Features of this eZip 500 Electric Scooter
500W power from a DC-earth motor
24V rechargeable battery pack
Max speed 15 miles per hour
8 miles maximum range
Folding handle bars
Removable seat
Power switch is on/off
The tire is tough (to reduce chances of getting punctured while using)
Front disk brake inhibit lever
Steel frame (durable as it last for 7 years now)
With auto shut off features with relay protection and battery level gauge

On the other hand, in this photo, I put a child carrier so that my kids can ride together with me. Now that they are big, they can ride their own bicycles. When I will not sell this e-scooter, maybe they can play with this when they will be a bit bigger. Well, let me see what I can do with this electric scooter.

Snow in Springtime – Colorado Springs Colorado

When you are living in Colorado, you have to love the beautiful weather. It is spring time but still it is snow and the forecast states that it is for two days. WOW! I already planted my vegetable seeds hoping it will sprout in the coming days but then snow is showing its beauty. Oh well, it is just fine as I need snow for the grasses since water is not free anymore. Despite that it is snowing, I am enjoying it. And I am thankful because it is still a blessing from heaven.

Fun Manitou Springs Incline experience

Manitou Incline was once a railroad with at least 2744 steps.

It was not easy climbing in here but it’s fun. It’s bonding with nature and it’s healthwise.

First Manitou Springs Incline – I was with my friend Glen V.
2nd Manitou Springs Incline – I was with my friend Shirley S.
3rd Manitou Springs incline – I was alone early in the morning. I did the climb for less than 2hours.
4th #ManitouSpringsIncline – I was with my friend Shirley S.

Nancy Lewis Park, Colorado Springs

This is one of the parks that my kids love. They call it the parks with ducks as there are lots of ducks living and nesting in this place. When we visited here, the play area was being renovated so we just headed home after walking few minutes near the pond. Oh by the way, the name of this park is Nancy Lewis Park which is located near Filmore Street here in Colorado Springs.

On the boarders – Mexican grill – Powers Blvd Colorado Springs

Last Tuesday, my friend from Pueblo visited me here in springs and she treated me a free meal at On the Boarders – Mexican Grill located in Powers Boulevard. It’s my first time in there and I love their iced tea. The foods were okay. And I am so grateful that for the freebies and the blessings. It’s a fun day!

Stay-cation

Who doesn’t want to have an adventure and vacation with the whole family? I think everyone loves to have family adventures and vacations out somewhere. For me, I just spread this tent in the yard and stayed in here while watching my kids had a swim in their small kiddy pool. Having a vacation at home is also fun and I call it stay-cation. It’s also a great savings!

Anyway, I am a home buddy but it doesn’t mean I don’t love adventures and vacations every now and then. Oh well, life is still good with stay-cation.
