iPhone stocked – red charging sign and this was how I fixed it
iPhone 5 was out of action for several days. So, we visited the Apple repair center in Promenade Mall here in Springs the other day. I just waited inside the truck because I just want to fetch them at the entrance of the store when they’re done. When I saw them get out (after several minutes), I drove and get near the entrance because they didn’t know where I parked. I didn’t also know if they saw the vehicle and I didn’t want them to walk far because it’s cold that day. When they’re seated, I asked if it’s fixed but my husband said not, and they just offered to upgrade/change cellphone because they cannot diagnose the phone as it won’t switch on. So, I told my husband, I will fix it myself, and I know it will switch on again just like my old iPhone 4s.
After several hours of fixing it, it was on by itself with the 100% battery – GRRR. Then it was off again right after attempting to upgrade. It sucks. I do love iPhone, but the battery sucks.
Then I stopped fixing it and did try to check on it the next day.
When the next day came, I tried to fix it again. And good thing it switched on after PRESSING THE ON BUTTON MANY TIMES AND FOR A LONG TIME ON THE TABLE. YES, THAT WAS THE ONLY THING I DID – PRESSED THE ON BUTTON VERY HARD ON THE HARD SURFACE OF MY TABLE MANY TIMES FOR A LONG TIME UNTIL IT SWITCH ON AGAIN. OH MY THAT PHONE WAS PLUGGED IN, OF COURSE.
When my husband asked me what I did to the phone, I told him that “I talked to the phone and I told the phone that when it doesn’t switch on, I’ll have to hammer it. The phone was afraid of me, so that’s why it’s switch on by itself. GRRR,iPhone phones battery sucks.”
To this day, this iPhone 5 is still function with the recent update of it’s OS. Hope it won’t be having that battery problem again. The only thing that’s needed is for this old phone to be plugged in all the time or else it will be stuck with that red button of charging but it won’t. So, right now, it’s charging all the time. GRRRR!
