John Venezia park – Colorado Springs, Colorado

So yesterday, my friend kept on calling me many times. I was too busy so I answered it once I was able to sit down on my working area. She informed me that there’s a newly opened water park in district 20 and it’s call John Venezia Community Park. I packed some clothes for my kiddos, towels and little food. Then we went to her place. I just followed her driving since I didn’t know the place. It’s just few minutes from her house and when we reached the place, it was raining and windy. I didn’t bring any jacket and I wear shorts. Cold wind made us shiver coz we didn’t have the right gear. We thought it will be hot coz u know it’s summer time but it was not. After like an hour of letting the kids play, we decided to go home and my kids were having fun. They said they will be back in that park again. The next time we will visit there, I’ll make sure I will bring jacket and other stuff just in case it will be windy or whatever.

Anyway, it’s a nice park and it’s safe in there since it is located in district 20. When that park will be finished, it will be so much fun and it’s a nice place to have parties, play/watch games and more.

Fun-filled birthday celebration – Thanks to my wonderful good friends and sisters in Christ

This was what happened on my birthday. My close friends and sisters in Christ treat me to a very beautiful place called Pirate Cove in 1225 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO 80120. They said that they were planning this getaway for a month or so. Though before knowing it, they asked me if I was okay with overnight get together with just the girls and I said that I cannot leave my family for a long time as my husband cannot drive for medical reasons. They said, they will be a boodle fight eating, like we will be using banana leaves and spread all the foods on the table and we will eat without using plates and utensils. I said that I wasn’t sure if I can go with them.

Then, one time, my friend Raquel visited me at home together with her two kids and she asked permission from my husband that if possible they can bring me to pirate cove. Good thing my husband said YES (thanks to my loves), and he’s the one taking care of the kids that day – the 17th of July.

We were having fun in the pool – the slides color purple (fastest), the orange/red (slowest) and the yellow (which was in the mid of the 3 slides). We were also enjoying the slow river and it’s nice to sleep in there. There’s even one father with his baby on the floaty wherein the baby was sleeping because the water in the slow river was so soothing and comforting. We also tried the deep pool of at least 12ft. My friend Len tried to swim in there coz she knows how to jump and swim. The rest stayed at the right shallow side of the pool. And me, I stayed in the middle of the pool. I tried to swim but I kicked a person and when I looked at my back, it was like the people were gone. Haha!

Anyway, they rented a cabana for the five of us. We arrived there almost 2 hours earlier than the opening. We thought that they will open at around 9am but they will open at around 10am. Anyway, our place was secure and we had our bracelet which were indications that we were the one using that certain cabana.

I was surprised with what my friends did on my birthday. I was so thankful for the friendship and for all the special surprises they gave to me. It was like ladies out day birthday celebration and it was full of fun.
